Foot Care Tips For Healthy And Beautiful Feet!

Do you moisturize your feet daily as your face and body? We pamper our hands with hand creams and regular manicures, but we may not pay as much attention to our feet. People can judge hygiene by simply looking at shoes or feet.

Therefore, foot care tips are not only important from good hygiene and having beautiful feet but also for staying active and comfortable throughout our life.

If our feet are not healthy, walking can become painful. Our feet take the weight of the whole body and go through a lot of wear and tear, making them susceptible to injury, fatigue, and infections.

Some foot care tips & tricks to enhance the natural beauty of feet:

1. Wash Your Feet Regularly.

Make it a habit to wash your feet twice daily, at the beginning and the end of the day. Using a mild soap and lukewarm water is a good way to get rid of sweat and dirt that might be present on feet.

Do not use very hot water, which can strip away your skin’s natural oils and make your feet more prone to cracks.

2. Exfoliate Twice Weekly.

Use a foot scrubber to get rid of dead skin cells. While scrubbing, use a gentle filing motion and avoid rubbing your feet too hard. Make sure to soak your feet in lukewarm water for at least 10 minutes prior to scrubbing.

3. Keep Your Feet Moisturized.

The regular smear of lotion (and even exfoliating) can help prevent hard skin and calluses from forming. Since foot skin is much thicker than elsewhere on our body, there is a need to use the moisturizer with deep penetrating properties to help keep the skin supple. When the skin specifically on feet is dry, apply the moisturizing cream at night then wear soft, cotton socks to bed.

This helps to hold the moisture for hours and will give you a feel of softer, smoother and crack-free heels. Avoid moisturizer application between the toes. Excess moisture that builds up between the toes enhance the development of athlete’s foot fungal infection.

4. Trim Toenails Properly.

Every couple of weeks, you must trim your toenails to keep them healthy and strong.

5. Wear Well-Fitting Shoes.

Choose the right pair of shoes. Ill-fitted shoes, including shoes that are too small, can cause pain while walking and even lead to blisters and corns.

6. Try to avoid a barefoot walk in public areas.
